Dog is protective, alert, and brave. It is devoted and constant to its friends and family. It is the symbol of guidance, protection, loyalty, fidelity, faithfulness, watchfulness, and love.

Dogs are carnivorous mammals that live in the wild in packs, but have been domesticated since pre-historic times.  Dogs were depicted by prehistoric humans on cave walls. It has been a constant in human art and literature through the ages.

Those with the Dog totem have great spirits and an enormous capacity to love. Dog totem brings the desire to help others and aid humanity as a whole. Dog is gentle, loyal, and a fierce protector. Dog is loyal to its pack, whether it is friends, family, or co-workers. Dog evokes the need for justice and fair play, and often becomes a champion for causes that help others.

A Dog dream or vision may be just a statement of the basic instinct toward, friendship, loyalty, and protectiveness. A Dog dream may also indicate an inner conflict that needs to be resolved. It may warn of a disloyal friend or be a reminder to be loyal to your own interests.
