BOWENITE

Bowenite, also known as Tangiawaite and Tangawaite, is a variety of a Serpentine species Antigorite. It is very similar to Jade, but it is not a variety of Jade. Along with Nephrite Jade, it is known by the Maori tribe Ngai Tahic iwi as pounamu or “Green Stone.”  It can be transparent to semi-transparent in appearance. It is found in New Zealand, Afghanistan, China, South Africa, and the United States. It was named by James D. Dana for George T. Bowen, the first person to analyze it. It has been used by the Maori in New Zealand for many years in tools, weapons, and jewelry. It was used in making Fabergé eggs. Bowenite creates a protective shield that radiates protective energy in all directions giving great protection form destructive forces. It is a dream stone that enhances memory of dreams and aids in using dreams to release suppressed emotions. Its vibration brings success. It helps to make clean breaks from the past. It is a symbol of true love and friendship. It is associated with the heart chakra and the astrological sign Aquarius.

A Bowenite heart is a natural since Bowenite resonates strongly with the heart chakra. The combination increases the strength of Bowenite’s protective shield.   A Bowenite heart beside the bed is a promise of dreams of love that may show you the way to realize true love in your life.

Price is for 1 stone. Multiple pieces are shown to demonstrate how no two are alike, differing in both size & shape.
