Unakite is also known as Unakite Stone. This stone is altered Granite with pink orthoclase Feldspar, clear Quartz, and green Epidote. It forms in the rocks found on the boundaries of convergent plates where granite has been metamorphosed and exposed to weathering and erosion. It was first discovered in the Unakas Mountains, a part of the Blue Ridge Chain in the United States in the state of North Carolina. It comes in various shades of mottled pink and green. Unakite Jasper is a similar, but different, stone composed of Red Jasper and Epidote that is sometimes mislabeled as Unakite. This stone of vision brings clarity and opens the third eye to inner light and spiritual energy. It is an excellent aid to immersing the self in deep meditation. Unakite strips away thoughts of the future and the past and brings a sense of immersion in the present which brings great focus. It resonates with love, compassion, and kindness. It stimulates self-respect, self-esteem, self-confidence, and balance. It is helpful for finding animal guides. It facilitates rebirth and releases the conditions that inhibit spiritual and psychological growth. It is associated with the heart chakra and the astrological sign Scorpio.
