BAT

Bat is the symbol of intuition, dreaming, and vision. It brings the power to see into other dimensions and discern the meaning of all that is encountered in life.  It also symbolizes birth and rebirth and is closely connected to the Earth. 

In the physical world, Bat lives inside the belly of Mother Earth in caves. It emerges every evening as it soars out to fly above the Earth in search of food.  It uses a kind of sonar called echolocation to navigate its way through the darkness.  It is one of the few flying mammals. It gives back to the Earth by pollinating fruits and flowers.

Those with a Bat totem are usually extremely aware of their surroundings. They have the ability to see through illusion or ambiguity and get straight to the truth. They have great inner depth and an ability to communicate well with others.

A Bat vision or dream may indicate that you should prepare for major life changes.  It may symbolize the death of a part of yourself that was holding you back from reaching your higher self. Bat reminds us to follow through on new ideas or hunches. A Bat dream may also indicate that you are allowing fears to overcome you. It may be a reminder that there is nothing to fear. You must face any fear you have and get past it. You will be stronger for having done so.
