DONKEY

Donkeys were first introduced to the American continent on the second voyage of Christopher Columbus in 1495.

Donkey has some association with religions. It was the Donkey that Jesus Christ rode as he entered Jerusalem, chosen perhaps as a symbol of modesty and willingness to serve. In ancient Greece, the god Apollo gave Midas the ears of a Donkey so that he could better hear the music of the gods.
